EMERGENCY SERVICES
Emergency Services
Pet emergencies can often happen outside of business hours, and Alpine Veterinary Medical Centre offers emergency services to our clients. Emergency service is available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and one of our veterinarians can be reached by calling 633-5700. Outside of business hours, this number will reach our answering service which will page the veterinarian on call with the information and a number to reach you at. If you require our services, please take care to give your name and the number you can be reached at to our answering service so we can easily reach you. This service is for calls of an emergency nature, and our veterinarians are not at the clinic unless there is an emergency. There will be an emergency fee charged for these services for any procedures that occur or continue after 5:00pm Monday to Friday or at any time on Saturday or Sunday. As part of our service, we also have veterinary technicians available to assist during emergency procedures if required.
Before you call:
Please give your name and correct number to the answering service to ensure prompt response from one of our veterinarians, and please remain off the line while waiting for the veterinarian to return your call
Please call only if the situation is of an emergency nature.
There is a $340 emergency exam fee, so please call only if you are prepared to pay an emergency fee.
Be advised that our clinic is not open on Saturdays or Sundays and all calls will be directed to our emergency service.
Critical Care
Some of our patients require intensive monitoring and care in the recovery process. Overnight or multi-day hospitalization is often required to meet these needs. We can provide the critical care that may be required and our veterinary team will ensure the level of care meets the needs of our patients. We will be sure to keep you updated on the progress of your pet during their stay at our hospital. If necessary, we can also provide referrals to emergency centres outside of the territory.
